What kind of degree do you need for this master’s program?
Hi Luis,
You need to have a bachelor’s degree in order to be able to apply for the master’s program. The bachelor’s degree does not need to be in a specific field.
Thanks!
Are required tests (GRE/GMAT) considered to be waived by a professional designation or certification. At some Universities, a Master’s of Safety program waives the requriements for the GRE if the applicant has a CSP (Certified Safety Profressional).
Hi Travis- we would only be able to waive the GRE/GMAT if you already have a master’s degree. Unfortunately we are not able to waive it if you just have the CSP.
Do you have to have a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.75 or a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of the bachelor’s degree program AND a MAT score of 375 or, GRE scores of 149 verbal and 141 quantitative and an analytical writing score of at least 4.0?
Or can you have one or the other?
Hi Chelsey- You do need to fulfill both requirements to be eligible for admissions.
I have got in ielts a mark of 5 but i got 4 in lestining , 6 speaking , 5 reading

Is the SSEM degree offered onsite at EKU? Also, I graduated from EKU with a BS in Criminal Justice. Do I have to provide transcripts? Finally, I am currently on Active duty orders for the National Guard and do not have time to take the GRE (Will not be back untill July and I want to start in August). Can I be granted Probationary Admission without having to take the GRE? My GPA from EKU was 3.69.
Hi Tyler, i encourage you to speak directly with an enrollment advisor to answer your specific questions. By filling out the form on this page an advisor will get in touch with you soon. Thanks!

Hello! If you complete EKU’s graduate certificate in Occupational Safety online, those classes can be used towards the master’s in Safety, Security and Emergency Management degree online.
