Branden Sobaski, Facilitator
Branden Sobaski is a firefighter with the Iowa City Fire Department. Prior to taking a job with ICFD, he taught FSE 101 on EKU’s campus in Richmond, and worked as the Lab Coordinator for the FSE Program. He has also worked with FireTeamUSA promoting residential fire sprinklers.
He recently completed research for an upcoming International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) Grant Funded project on firefighting tactics and building construction. His education includes degrees from: Kirkwood Community College (’04, A.S. in Fire Science Management), Eastern Kentucky University (’06, B.S. in Fire Science Administration), and Eastern Kentucky University (’08, M.S. in Safety, Security and Emergency Management).
Branden is also a member of these associations: American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), Fire Department Safety Officers Association (FDSOA), American Planning Association (APA), National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA), and International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI).
