Chelsea Adkins, Facilitator
Chelsea Adkins is a native of Richmond, Kentucky and a two-time graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in May of 1999, and completed her Master of Science Degree in Loss Prevention and Safety in May of 2003.
She has served as a part-time faculty member of the Department of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management within the College of Justice and Safety at Eastern Kentucky University since the spring semester of 2008.
During her career, she has gained experience teaching online courses such as Emergency Planning, Emergency Management, and Terrorism & Homeland Security. In addition to being a part-time instructor in the undergraduate Safety, Security and Emergency Management program at EKU, she has also been an online facilitator for multiple semesters in the Safety, Security and Emergency Management Research and Planning graduate-level course at EKU.
Her interests include various aspects of the homeland security field (particularly emergency prevention, protection, preparedness and response), school safety, loss prevention research, assets protection and fraud prevention.
