David Oliver, Facilitator
David Oliver has been with General Motors Corporation for over 27 years holding various positions in Security, Fire Protection, Labor Relations and Safety. A native Kentuckian, he began his career at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant in 1981. In 1997 he transferred to Detroit to assume the position of Safety Manager for the GM Global Headquarters Complex. He ultimately was responsible for development of all Non-Manufacturing Safety Programs. In his current position he serves as a Manager Global Health and Safety and serves as Dean of the Health and Safety College within General Motors University.
David holds a Bachelors Degree in FSE-Loss Prevention and Safety from EKU. He completed a Graduate Certificate in Disaster Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and holds a Master of Science in Security, Safety and Emergency Management also from EKU. David is also a Certified Safety Professional.
