FIRE PROTECTION CAREER
Fire protection and fire safety professionals work in an exciting field and often feel as though they are making a difference in the lives of those around them. They develop and implement fire protection plans and are ultimately responsible for protecting their organization and its employees against the threat of destructive fires.
Professionals in this field reduce fire hazards by inspection and the design of fire detection and suppression systems. These professionals are employed in a variety of roles and settings which include industrial fire protection, arson investigation, state fire training agencies, municipal/county/federal fire departments, structural design for fire protection, fire protection equipment industry, and many others.
Our graduates have been hired as safety managers for industrial/manufacturing companies, OSHA compliance managers, fire investigators, fire chiefs, fire and building code enforcement officers, loss control supervisors, etc. In our program, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of strategic planning for fire and emergency services, emergency scene analysis, and terrorism and emergency management.
