Graduate Jeff Hanson Shares His Thoughts on the Masters Program in Safety, Security & Emergency Management

Jeff Hanson, Owner and Manager of Hanson Safety Services, LLC, and upcoming graduate of the EKU SSEM Masters Program, recently shared his thoughts on the strength of the degree he earned and the benefits of online learning.

“The SSEM degree has added many dimensions to my practical Occupational Safety & Health experiences which will, in the long run, make me a stronger safety and health professional for the commercial construction industry. SSEM provides a solid backing to many of the challenges that exist within the profession and provides the necessary tools and skill-sets for implementing change, preventing injury and loss, ensuring compliance and educating an ever-changing workforce.”

He goes on to state: “Near daily active exchange between professors, facilitators and students on the discussion board provides a platform for the safety professional and novice to share work experiences. Moreover, the discussion board is the connectivity and lifeline to online learning and participation which is a pre-requisite for success.”
