As part of Eastern Kentucky University’s online Safety, Security, and Emergency Management program, the Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security provides students with a concentrated examination of the information and skills you’ll need to excel and build a lasting career, or develop a specialization as a homeland security professional.

This certificate program focuses on the legislation and policies associated with homeland security, such as the Patriot Act and the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act. Students will examine infrastructure of our homeland protection systems and the political and organizational factors involved with working as a member of a homeland security team. In addition students will learn to identify critical areas of importance in threat and hazard detection.
