Richmond, KY – Hurricane Katrina, one of the greatest natural disasters ever to hit the United States, made landfall one year ago near New Orleans, LA on August 29, 2005. The storm and its aftermath presented one of the greatest challenges for safety professionals responsible for planning and response to Hurricane Katrina.
