SSE 863- Issues in Discrimination Law for Safety Professionals

The assessment and analysis of discrimination issues and laws which can impact the safety and health function in most organizations. This course will identify and analyze the interplay and impact of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Americans With Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, and Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and other federal and state antidiscrimination laws with the safety function. This course will also review and analyze new and pending antidiscrimination legislation which may impact the safety function.
