James Stephens received his bachelor’s degree in Police Administration from EKU in 1995, and then entered the law enforcement community. He has 18 years of experience in law enforcement, including eight years of supervision experience. He also received his master’s degree from EKU in Safety, Security and Emergency Management, with his master’s certificate in Homeland Security Studies. Stephens has a variety of work experience in the safety field including risk, threat and vulnerability training and applications. He is also active in providing educational training and consulting for schools, health care facilities and other entities regarding safety and security measures. Stephens is the founder of SafeTsources LLC, which provides a wide array of safety and security services. He is also a contributing author for the textbook, “The Comprehensive Handbook of School Safety.”
