What you can learn

Safety is a leadership principle. Our concentration in school safety builds on the core curriculum of the Masters in Safety with a specific emphasis on helping you craft a leadership role. Examine the potential risks and safety management strategies of educators, education administrators or risk managers. Learn how to manage loss potentials for educational service employees, students and school visitors. As with all safety-related professions, preparation is paramount. Learn to orchestrate proper emergency training and crisis response programs in compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, codes and standards.

You can also boost your credentials with an incorporated graduate level certificate in one of EKU’s five concentration areas while pursing your master’s degree. Additional certificates can be stacked onto your Master degree with minimal extension of your program.
